Reviews on Kid Friendly Restaurants in Santa Monica

Amici Brentwood

Location: 2627 Wilshire Blvd.
Akbar offers quality indian cuisine at impeccable prices. Plus, this contemporary restaurant is quite comfortable and welcomes children of all ages. The Tandoori chicken kebabs come highly recommended along with specialties like the Chilean Sea Bass and Bison Tandoori. All of the curries and chutneys are to die for as well. Not to mention, there are vegetarian options available too. And you can not leave before trying the delectable mango cheesecake. Check out the fairly priced wine list or sip on one of the requisite Indian Beers, either way, your palate will thank you.

Amici Brentwood

Location: 2538 San Vicente Blvd.
Amici Brentwood is an upscale restaurant located on the Brentwood/Santa Monica border which draws both Westside couples as well as families. What's particularly to favor is the resturants down-to-earth and welcoming warmth. The menu features trattoria favorites like hot pizza bread, tomato checca, white bean dip, fresh mozzarella, spicy penne all'arrabbiata, turkey ragout, and spaghetti alla bolognese. Almost all ingredients are organic when possible and impressively enough, there are over 250 wine options on the menu. Do not forget to taste the tiramisu or chocolate volcano cake before you leave. They are crowd pleasers.

Back on the Beach Cafe

Location: 445 Pacific Coast Hwy.
Within the Annenberg Community Beach House you will find the infamous Back on the Beach Cafe, a lovely breakfast and lunch spot. Locals typically walk or bike to this venu which only compliments the beautiful Santa Monica lifestyle. On the menu you will find a plethora of delicious egg dishes, salads, sandwiches, and burgers, all kid friendly. We suggest trying the croque-madame ham and cheese sandwich that is topped with a scrumptious fried egg. Taking a seat outside comes highly recommend as you can enjoy the beach while you eat.

Bangkok West Thai

Location: 606 Santa Monica Blvd.
The ambience of Bangkok West Thai may be minimalistic, however the food is anything but. From the starters like spicy larb to the traditional main dishes like rad-na and pad thai, this restaurant will have your taste buds soaring. We recommend ordering a few different curries along side your entrees as they are phenomenal. We usually pair our curries with filet of sole or grilled garlic beef ribs. Lastly, you must give your mouth the gift of at least one Bangkok West Thai dessert. Whether you choose the honey and banana filled egg rolls with ice cream, or the mango and coconut sticky rice, it matters not as they are all delightful. Your children will be raving about them. Plus, the offered wine list pairs wonderfully with the spice in each dish. Parents deserve a sip or two every once in a while.

Bergamot Cafe

Location: 2525 Michigan Ave.
You will find the Bergamot Cafe Restaurant strewn among an artistic Santa Monica complex that contains more than thirty art galleries as well as the Santa Monica Art Museum. In the morning hours, Bergamot Cafe serves La Brea Bakery pastries and traditional breakfast dishes. Lunch is made up of homemade salads, soups, and sandwiches. Our favorites include the wasabi tuna melt sandwich, and shrimp quesadilla special. No dish is too over complicated which your children will appreciate. And if you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth then make sure to order the massive chocolate chunk cookie and pair it with the house latte. The caffeine will come in handy when trying to keep up with your kids later. Not to mention, the Bergamot Cafe is rather easy on the eyes as its interior is curated with modern art, metal topped tables, and blue accents.

Big Dean's Muscle-In Cafe

Location: 1615 Ocean Front Walk
Surprisingly, Big Dean's Muscle-In Cafe is open 365 days of the year regardless of the weather! This little gem can be found just behind the Santa Monica Pier and it is a rather casual establishment welcoming kids of all ages, especially within the shady back patio. This is a great spot for beer lovers. Big Dean's was one of the first to create a Beer of the Day concept but they serve a large variety of brews as well. The menu is full of family favorites like tacos, burgers, fries, and chilis.

Carvery Kitchen

Location: 3101 Ocean Park Blvd.
Carvery Kitchen prides itself on marrying traditional deli fare with a healthy twist. Its menu includes a large variety of sandwiches including roast beef french dip, pulled pork, and fish filet. The wraps and salads come highly recommended for those looking for something lighter and our personal favorite is the mediterranean salad that contains greens, flax seeds, quinoa pilaf, falafel puff, and a tahini-basil dressing. Each dish offered by the Carvery Kitchen is rather tasty and your kids will agree.

The Cheesecake Factory

Location: 395 Santa Monica Pl.
The Cheesecake Factory not only offers over fifty cheesecake varieties, but also a plethora of burgers, pizza, pasta, salads, and steaks. The menu in total hosts more than two hundred and fifty items. The environment is extremely family friendly and the Cheesecake Factory is filled with big booths to accommodate large parties. We recommend ordering the spicy-battered popcorn shrimp to start!

Chomp Eatery & Juice

Location: 1612 Santa Monica Blvd.
If you are looking for a menu full of casual bites, then look no further as the Chomp Eatery & Juice Station will be right up your family's alley. Their menu includes deliciously crafted salads, wraps, sandwiches, and burgers. Our family's favorite is the 'unicorn melt' which is a classic grilled cheese sandwich with a twist of rainbow colored bread. It is definitely instagram friendly. The Chomp Eatery and Juice Station also offers organic cold pressed juices, smoothies, coffee, and even lemonade.

Cora's Coffee Shoppe

Location: 1802 Ocean Ave.

Cora's Coffee Shoppe offers the family a diner ambience and delicacies with italian inflections. You will find the juices fresh and the coffees smooth at Cora's! Ingredients are always organic whenever possible. Breakfasts consist of items like burrata caprese omelets and orange pancakes while later in the day you can expect dishes like italian sausage polenta, smoked salmon, and short rib tacos. The prices may be a bit on the higher side at this location but, the food quality makes it all worth it.
